The Bachelor program Space & Design STRATEGIES embraces cross-cutting societal themes. Positioned at the interfaces of art, architecture, design and digital media, conceptual questions are translated into trend-led pragmatism. However, it is not solutions that are at the forefront of teaching and learning, but rather the ability to define, ponder, consider, doubt, deliberate, contemplate, review and redefine questions. Improvisation and performative action lead to artistic interventions and installations in space. The goal of the program is clear: research-inspired design for a better world. Towards this purpose, every student is to acquire high flexibility and improvisation skills for strategies in a vehemently changing society. A central aim of the program is to establish interfaces with both young and internationally renowned artists by organising lecture series, excursions, workshops and projects.
