University of Art and Design Linz has exchange agreements under the Erasmus-programme and bilateral agreements with institutions outside Europe.
Students applying for an exchange at KUNI Linz should have completedat least two years of study before applying for an students exchange.
It is very important that exchange students have a hig level of proficiency in either German or English.
Students who are nominated by a partner university of Kunstuniversity Linz can apply for an exchange place.
Deadlines of Application:
Winterterm (october to february): 15th of May
Summerterm (march to end of june): 15th of November
Application Documents
Students who want to do a project in Linz or work on a thesis are asked to hand in a description/abstract of their project.
We accept only application documents with confirmed application forms by your international office!
Application Process
Notes of acceptance will be sent to the students and their coordinators within 20 days after the deadline by email. Letters of acceptance follow by normal mail if desired.
Selection Procedure
We consider motivations, language skills and portfolios of incoming applicants. The selection process does not aim at a final judgement on the artistic value of your work or talent. The crucial factor is if we think that you can make good use of our educational offer for your purposes - no matter if you come from a school with a very different approach - and make a contribution to the learning process at Kunstuniversität Linz you will be a part of.
