Spaces Alive - Coloured Black Holes

Mihaela Kavdanska, Studierende bei Interface Cultures, präsentiert ihre intermediale Tanzperformance im Rahmen des "Tanzhafen Festivals 2017". Das Stück „Spaces Alive – Coloured Black Holes“ fand seine Inspiration in einer Reihe von ortspezifischen, performativen Video-Installationen von Mikaela Kavdanska und Dilmana Yordanova, die ihr Projekt „Spaces Alive“ getauft hatten. In Kollaboration mit „The Crew“ wurde dieses Projekt zu einem interdisziplinären Performancestück weiterentwickelt, wo Tanz, visuelle Kunst (eine interaktive Videoprojektion) und Klangbilder bestimmte physische und emotionale Räume zum Leben erwecken. Diese mediale Einheit ergibt für KünsterInnen und Zusehende ein besonderes Echtzeiterlebnis. "Spaces Alive – Colored Black Holes” is an intermedia performance piece where dance, generative visuals and soundscape bring to life different physical and emotional spaces. The piece was developed by two artistic collectives, The Crew Dance Productions and KOTKI visuals, and got its inspiration from the "Spaces Alive" project: a series of site-specific,
performative video installations by Mihaela Kavdanska & Dilmana Yordanova (KOTKI visuals).
Performers, visuals, movements, space and sound, are all connected in a real-time experience of inter-media oneness.
How do the individuals’ emotions connect through space? Is there a way to bring this space to life? The performance explores the inside, outside and in-between spaces of ours, in a physical or fictional form, figurative or abstract.
The generative video projection visualizes what connects us once we dare ​ ​to leave our bodies. Is the space inside and in-between limited or is it ​ ​endless?
