Nude Drawing

Proportions, perspectives, colours, moods – every person has his or her individual way of perceiving himself or herself, the world and our fellow humans. Students of the University course for Nude Drawing learn to concentrate on and deepen these perceptions and to transfer them to a great variety of materials (paper, cardboard, canvas) using the utensils (pencil, chalk, charcoal, brush, colours) und techniques (dabbing, smearing, hatching) of drawing and painting.
Dietmar Brehm, the teacher of this course and professor for Painting & Graphic Art at Kunstuniversität Linz, comments, “In addition to the anatomical, proportional and spatial capturing of the human body, participants will learn through their individual dialogue with the teacher how to develop their own, unique pictorial language and style, which after all is the goal of any artist. For this reason, nude drawing is not only a valuable additional asset for all persons interested in painting or wishing to improve their painting style, but also an advantage for anybody active in the arts in some other capacity.”
