Prerequisite

A prerequisite for studying Fine Arts and Cultural Studies is passing the entrance examination; this takes place in the first week of July and lasts 3 days. During these days candidates have to solve various tasks, an interview with the teachers forms another part of the examination. Registration forms are available either in the study department or on the university homepage.

An essential basis for the assessment is the portfolio with work samples, which the applicants have to bring to the entrance examination.
We invite interested parties to visit the painting department at the Linz University of Art on OPEN DAY, March 20, 2024. The students' studios will be open and the painting team will offer info talks on the studies and advices on portfolio design for the entrance exams, between 10am and 3pm. Registrations on site via notice board (from 10 am)!
