Biography

Ursula Hentschläger started her career with a series of online interviews with media artists in 1993. Since then she has been working on theoretical and artistic projects in the fields of new media and literature. In 1999 she co-founded ZEITGENOSSEN and the intermedia platform www.zeitgenossen.com.

She holds a doctorate in communication science, has published a number of books and is contributing to international art magazines. Currently she is focussing on contextualising media art works from the pioneering years. She is living and working in Vienna.
