Think inside the Box

Architektur | Urbanistik  In 2054 humans are completely absorbed into the digital world. Connected throught the always evolving social networks, they have lost the capacity of socializing and comunicating in the analogic, true reality.   Can architecture save them? The Humanizer, an amusement park composed of  ten huge levels/machines, drives the people through a complicated path in which they learn again how to relate to each other. Different spatial situations and contexts provide experiences such as comunication, collaboration and socialization untill they are completely rehumanized.
Looking inside the box you can follow the process that the visitors follow in order to re-learn socializing skills. Among the machines we painted many different aspects of how spacial properties can influence the human behaviour and relationships. The star-map on the ceiling represents the multiple connections between architectural concepts and human skills/qualities. The sculpture itself works as a socializing machine. Putting your eyes close to the eight small holes you become a living part of the painted room and interact with the curious eyes of the others. If you are brave and flexible enough you can crawl under the box, get inside through the small door and let the drawings inspire you. But mind, you will feel a bit observed.
