PRESENTATION

Student project Zines at the "Fanzineist Vienna Fair"

May 10 to 12, 2024 Studio house of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna

Students from the University of Arts Linz present their publication at the "Fanzineist Vienna" trade fair.

The semester project, conceived by Anastasiya Yarovenko, visiting professor in Experimental Design in WS 2023/24, takes up the zine scene, DIY culture and alternative forms of printing as well as community activism.

The Fanzineist Vienna Art Book & Zine Fair is an annual event for independent publishers that takes place in Vienna, Austria. The focus is on showcasing self-published publications and independent works from the fields of art, design, literature, culture and more. The fair provides a platform for artists, writers and publishers, galleries, institutions and bookstores: to present and sell their work to a wider audience as well as to network and connect with others in the scene.
Fanzineist Vienna features a variety of exhibitions, workshops, concerts and talks as well as a range of vendors selling books, zines, prints and other items. The event is open to the public and offers people the opportunity to explore the world of independent publishing and discover new artists and writers.

Registration is open to anyone who publishes art books and zines.
